Villa Residence Maxime

There is a lot of equipment and the accommodation has enormous potential but is very poorly maintained. It is not at all a luxury gîte and the hygiene is questionable. A radiator that didn't work, an air hockey machine that couldn't be used because the puck was smashed, two of the three billiard sticks had no tips and were therefore unusable, bedside tables with lamps that weren't connected because there were no plugs! There were blood stains on the sheets, and as soon as you looked behind a piece of furniture or a bed you'd find dirt, and a used depilatory strip stuck to the floor in the middle of a room (disgusting)!

All in all it was almost good. There is already some wear and tear on the furniture and house. We found it a shame that almost all of the play equipment was either broken or unusable due to enormous wear and tear. Only billiards worked somewhat. Refrigerators were only cleaned sporadically Sink clogged in some rooms Leaking shower in the basement near the sauna In Coca rooms there is a leaky skylight which drips onto the bed There is mold on the wall in Senna's room In some rooms the heaters remained cold. Everything was fine at the pool. There was also enough crockery and cooking pots (we were 5 families of 20 people) Despite the good price, we would not recommend the house.

The villa was a bit warn out. Not enough cooking pots from a decent size to suit 20 people. Only one pot of 6l, the rest was narrower. The baking trays could be bigger. The ones we had were rather small. Too much chlorine in the swimming pool water. It was fixed, but still very strong. The environment was really lovely, we enjoyed it very much.

Very nice location, close to the High Fens, perfect for walking. Price and quality certainly match. We had some bad weather during our stay, so the swimming pool and the 2 play areas made up for a lot. There was a lot of chlorine in the pool, so we often had to open everything to ventilate. People were very friendly.

There are a large number of lights that do not work, the bathroom door cannot close, fungi are growing in the other bathroom. The pool was dirty. The air hockey had no slider.

First of all 8 rooms are announced and there are only 7!! Very annoying in our case which are a group of 8 couples. Some lights no longer work. The billiards and table football are to be repaired as well as the dart. Besides that, we had a dishwasher failure and following the quick and efficient reaction of the owner, the repair was done. Extra pool. Great outdoor space too. Well equipped and functional kitchen. Bedding okay. Cottage very well located for hiking or cycling.

Accommodation is as described. However, some maintenance can be done here and there.

House has many assets, especially the large garden. Owner also easily accessible if we had questions. It is a pity that certain things were outdated, such as leaking coffee pots and pans whose stems almost come loose. Presumably the owner knows nothing about this either (I have now reported this).

The house itself has many possibilities, which is certainly not too bad. The kitchen equipment is OK. There could have been some more beer and water glasses for 20 people. However, we had a few inconveniences. There were ants in the kitchen for which there was a bait box, but we still saw the bugs walking around. The pool water could have been warmer and on Sunday we had no hot water in the showers. We did have a very nice WE. Bakker Hennes across the street and chip shop Alina at 1 km is an added value.

Very pleasant house. We did not have hot water to shower and the heating did not work in all rooms. If these dots are eliminated, it is definitely recommended for a family outing!

Beautiful villa and fully equipped. Swimming pool and sauna are great. As well as the location of the bakery opposite the villa. We had a great time in beautiful winter conditions, there was a lot of snow.

House is fine. Big enough. The bedrooms were fine and spacious enough. Only the oven did not work (broken ??) that was a pity. There was also no description of the oven. There were no crayons for the pool table, so playing billiards was not pleasant. The pool can be a bit warmer in the winter months. The water is colder than 25 degrees. The door of the Sauna does not close but it works. There is an American refrigerator with water and ice cubes. That was great.

Space in the house is sufficient. It is a pity that no real attention is paid to details. For example: the coffee pot that is still full, a light that does not work, restricts toilet paper in the holders, broken parts of playground equipment. They are not really big things, but as a temporary resident it does not give you the real guest feeling. Beds can now be replaced once. It is a beautiful building in which not much attention has been paid in recent years. It is a pity, but in terms of space you can stay with a large group. We had a great week together

What a lovely house for a large group! Indeed as stated in other reviews, not quite in perfect condition anymore, but that did not disturb us. The house was clean, and because of the many bedrooms (and bathrooms) there was enough space for everyone to have some privacy. The pool was lovely, and the pool and air hockey tables were also popular. All necessities were present. All in all a very nice house for a weekend with friends!

Very beautiful; large villa with beautiful garden all around. Lots of privacy too. Nice big terrace too. Fantastic at first sight! A little less on the 2nd view. Mold spots in the bathroom; peeling paint on the walls; in 1 bed there were unfortunately fleas. The mentioned jacuzzi turned out not to be there (anymore). There were no original ping pong balls and the table cannot be "levelled" either because 2 legs are missing. A battery in the clock in the living room would be useful and a parasol (or 3) on the terrace too. Now you are always in the flat sun. All small things, nothing insurmountable but a pity. You also have to take in the 100's of flies because there are no screens, or pack a spray can of Vapona. with 12 people; more than enough to sit inside in rainy weather. The cleaning team was still busy on arrival; but we were also 30 minutes early. And it is well cleaned. No dust to be found - everything very clean! Congratulations to the 2 ladies! The reception by the neighbor across the street was also very smooth and friendly; use of sauna and swimming pool was explained briefly but succinctly, just like the key transfer. In the absence of the WiFi code and table football ball, the owner was immediately contacted and everything arranged smoothly. In short: definitely worth repeating and don't hesitate too long if you want to book. Tip for the owner: the dishwasher and washing machine change places so that the door can open to the pool and so the heat from the pool stays outside the kitchen.

house was okay a bit tired but no problem, what there was is that the cooking utensils were not clean. New pans would not be a luxury. An umbrella would also be welcome. We had a nice weekend. Contact person was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay in this house. Lots of facilities and the pool was lovely. However, the house is in need of maintenance. Roller blinds in the living room are no longer functional. Here and there plaster which is not neat. Some mold in some bathrooms. Knobs of cabinets broken, etc. No major flaws but it looks a bit jaded. Furthermore, clean and a lovely house

We have been back there for the second time. Great view, nice location. Sauna and swimming pool (on the fresh side) are a plus. Many rooms with private bathroom is very nice. It may be refreshed, but otherwise a great house.

Spacious and warm house with everything you need, 2 defects were immediately repaired, the pool is of course a plus for the kids. The owners do ask to check out at 10am instead of 11am as stated.

Lovely long weekend (Friday to Sunday) with group of friends and children stayed in this nice house. There is plenty to do for the children so that they are certainly not bored. We had a super beautiful snowy landscape so that made the environment great. Have a nice walk through the white landscape. The house has a good layout, although there was some piece here and there. But that is almost unavoidable with such a large house. We had a lot of fun so a super successful time!

We had a nice stay, was a successful weekend. The house is beautifully situated and there is ample parking space. It is on a fairly busy road. In the very early morning some noise from traffic, which wakes you up. Earplugs come in handy, ;-). The garden is large and beautifully maintained, a pity because of the bad weather, we have not been able to fully enjoy it. Due to the much rain, we missed a shelter, where you can still sit outside a bit dry. The pool was super in size, depth and shape. The ambient temperature at the pool was very warm, a good thing, because the water of the pool was cold. The jacuzzi was no longer there, but it is still there in the photo series. The basement containing the sauna and the football table and darts is not so pleasant. In the photo, the pool table is in much better condition. There are now only two Kues". We had a great time!

The billiard sticks are not really in order and the sliding table also shows defects. There are some lights that have broken and certain places could use a lick of paint. Manuals for using the devices would be useful. Lots of space and relaxation options.

Very much enjoyed the large house with many indoor and outdoor play options. Nice large lawn with goal posts where we could play football. Have a nice swim every day. Great for adults and children.

Reception and owner were excellent hosts (women). The villa with all its accessories was to say "you". Swimming pool and play areas (indoor and outdoor) were right up the alley of young and old. Together with the soothing nature silence and the adventurous walks in the area, this villa is a must for anyone who loves the Ardennes !!

Everything to your liking. Beautiful area with plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling and excursions to eg Robertville Lake, Botrange, Ovifat (waterfall). Children and especially grandchildren enjoyed the pool all week. The weather has played a positive role. Have been able to eat outside with the whole group every day. the space in the living room was a bit too narrow for 20 people. We were promised 8 rooms for 20 people. and were able to use 7 rooms which made the distribution a bit more difficult. Have a nice holiday and highly recommended!

It was the 4th time we stayed here and that speaks for itself. This time with 17 people and 2 babies. The weather cooperated and we had a great time this time too. It is and remains a great holiday home in a large company in a beautiful environment. Too bad the jacuzzi has been removed and that there were no umbrellas as before. There were also some shortcomings such as not everywhere clean, no pomances on the billiard choice, only 9 sun loungers and the knives were on the blunt side. will definitely go there again.

A spacious house with lots of outside space around it. We had a wonderful holiday. A few minor points for improvement. We found 8 sun beds for 20 people which was little. Friendly welcome by the owner. However, at the time of departure nobody could be found to say goodbye and / or return the key. The interior of a number of bedrooms and bathrooms could use a freshening up (new colors, tiles). The rented bath linen was a bit scanty; only one towel per person.

The keys were easily available across the street. The accommodation was good. The beds were good and the showers too. The facilities were excellent: the playroom and the garden were fantastic for the kids, and the pool was great too. Beautiful walks possible in the vicinity. We were able to access the accommodation a little earlier than planned. Very nice considering the 8 children (3 to 12 years) in our company. All spaces were neat and the whole is fully equipped. A lot of space to play outside. The outside barbecue came in handy.

We have 10 adults and 1 child of 3 years greatly enjoyed this beautiful villa. The villa is large, very clean but some things are due for a makeover. The swimming pool, the sauna, the games room and the huge lawn are really a plus. The area is nothing short of fantastic. You can go hiking or visit the German town of Monschau. We also did a rail bike tour in the area. It was all great fun.

A nice house with a nice pool. Our grandchildren wanted 2 times every day. The beds are not bad, but can be better. We had a wonderful week. The house can use some refurbishing. You can see that it is used a lot and therefore wear occurs.

Well received the owner was waiting for us, everything has nicely explained (In Dutch!). We were 6 couples and 8 children (between baby and 9 years), and had enough space. Nice spacious rooms, Only the rooms above the living room was not really soundproof, so you could hear everything from the living room. Large spacious garden, nice view!

The house is spacious and neat. Enough play opportunities both inside and outside to entertain the whole family. Also a beautiful environment!

The arrival was like that. The owner was on leave and there was someone for the key, but no more. No questions could be asked. So draw plan. Acomidatie was good but pool too cold. Had a nice holiday with our children. Many play activities and they were all fine. Laundry was 1 bed short but was brought in at night. Weather was super. Between the toilet and the kitchen is a cool beer tapping system. Have pre-spoken with the landlord and ordered a 30l Fass Stella (90 €), so we could immediately on arrival a nice cool beer! Drinks, bakery and butcher just around the corner. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Also with the Nebenkosten billing it no surprises or similar!

Wij were here met 8 volwassenen en 9 kids in de leeftijd van 2.5 tot 12 jaar. Met z 'n all hebben we een hele leuke week gehad met mooi weer, waardoor we veel buiten verbleven. Het huis is ruim van opzet, bied voldoende slaapplaats en badkamers, een heerlijk zwembad en een grote tuin met speeltoestellen, tot onze verrassing zelfs een trampoline (stond niet vermeld op de website) de trampoline en het zwembad were bij de kinderen de favoriet s is dan ook gebruikt veelvuldig. de eigenaar was zeer vriendelijk en sprak goed Engels. Hij beheert aan de overzijde een slijterij en op ons verzoek heeft hij voor we aankwamen een Streekgebonden beer aan de tap aangesloten (moeite waard om daarvan de brouwerij te bezoeken). Tevens zit he ook een bakker, maar bij ons went deze na een few dagen op vakantie, dus iets verder terug hebben we een andere bakker gevonden that zeer goed Engels spreken.Groenteboer en slager zitten ook op loopafstand. Het is een mooie omgeving, interesting en leuke bezienswaardigheden ook voor kinderen en het much ons op dat je voor een groot deel ook terecht kon met de Duitse taal.

This villa is highly recommended. The equipment is top and there are many leisure activities available on the site. Great family holiday for three generations of one family, ranging all the way through from grandma to children, teenagers, back to younger and older adults. Plenty of space for everyone. Excellent bathroom facilities, most rooms having their own en-suite. Perfect kitchen and dining facilities and seating for everyone to be together for big family celebrations. Couple of great day trips in the local area although it was almost impossible to tear everyone away from the pool, jacuzzi, various indoor games and off the great football pitch outside. Highly recommend - would love to revisit

We were a gang of 16 adults and have greatly enjoyed our stay! The kitchen is very well equipped and there are certainly plenty of glasses, plates, cutlery, pots etc. The seats in the living room were new and so were quite good. The TV was recently so we could easily join our PS4, the Wifi is unfortunately in a bedroom which was sometimes difficult to connect in the living room and kitchen. A nice extra is that dispensing equipment is, just ask a barrel to the owner who has a beverage center across the street and tapping it! The extra amenities were definitely worth, spruce sauna, large heated swimming pool and a Blessed jacuzzi! The pool table was a bit small and the balls were not so 'n good condition but the air hockey and foosball were all right. Keep in mind the costs, as they were still higher than expected because we were not good the first days loved how we should regulate the heating. the garden was large and well kept, but the many snow we do not often dwell there. Nice spots in the sun again, a terrace here and there, two BBQs enz.Kortom, highly recommended!

children, grandchildren and ourselves have a fantastic weekend at Villa Maxime. the villa is comfortable and cozy, well-equipped kitchen, spacious rooms each with bathroom and toilet near pool, jacuzzi, sauna, leisure room with billiards, table football ... and beyond a lot of snow to romp in, not the little kids have time of their lives (and the adults either) also kudos to the very warm welcome and service from the owner.

Had a wonderful week with 13 adults and five children aged between three and eight years old, the kids have super amused by the less good weather, we still had plenty of opportunities in the home. We had a very nice stay

It is still run a little different than expected. We left Friday for a "family weekend" with 11 adult (one of whom was 36 weeks pregnant) and eight children. And born during the weekend the new baby in Malmedy! A weekend to remember and we are well on the drilling scheme required to go back again next year because everything was in perfect order!

In Rotterdam, everything in abundance, hospitality and clear explanation, had very nice weekend with the children, recommended especially for that price!

We had a wonderful week in this house! It is a very nice big house, we were 5 families with 10 kids and we had all ruimte.De rooms are very nice, they all have a different theme and are decorated with care. The beds were also good.The pool is great, especially the children here very well entertained. The jacuzzi was heerlijk.Er is a game room with air hockey and a pool table, very fine in a rainy day. In the 2nd week of July we were 2 families, grandpa 's grandmother' s, aunts and uncles in this villa. A week High Fens with beautiful weather and a super house suitable for a stay with children and grandchildren. Pity Lake Robertville and Butgenbach were closed during the Easter holidays.

We had a nice holiday midweek in this well equipped house with swimming pool, pool table and dart occasion. (Ao) The decor of the living room is worn, the bathrooms and beds fine. A bit noisy with small children. Lighting is all halogen, could much more economical sustainable by LED lighting. Great house for families. Privacy is possible.

The arrangement of parts can surprise you like it or not. Bakery and brewery opposite strengths are the large plot too. Appreciated the pool and must surely be "more in summer.

We were with a group of friends there. Have you ever rented the house two years ago. Unfortunately, in these 2 years, not much has been done to the game room (billiards, air hockey) that was redesigned. The couch was just sat through. We were with a group of 11 persons in the residence maxim and we loved them all! We had a lovely 4 days there, where we have very busy in and around the house. It even had wireless, perfect! Each of the bedrooms has its own bathroom, which is very handy. The kitchen is well equipped and the pool and jacuzzi were used very often by us! The living room has enough space for all, so you sometimes can have a look at some TV and sleep behind the house is a lot of space to play football or sunbathe :-) We would go again any time there! All good!!

We are with the family of 9 adults and 8 children from 1 to 14 years been a guest in Maxime because we have something to celebrate hadden.Nadat we were greeted by the owner Serge we could install one of the most beautiful rooms. We have enjoyed our long weekend! Mind you, the fun you have to make but the environment is inspiring, there is something for everyone, swimming, sauneren, a game of darts, billiards, etc. Delicious by Nature walks in the beautiful environment is also an option. We were lucky that the first snow of the year had fallen and nature had adorned her winter clothes. Who wanted was somewhere in the villa retreat to rest or to read, plenty of space! The children entertained themselves in a safe environment while parents also was entitled to the necessary rest. In short .... definitely worth repeating!

We have a midweek just sit up in Residence Maxime, from 15/11 to 18/11 and are very pleased with the hospitality of the landlord. The house is complete and meets all the requirements that one might expect. This is highly recommended for groups and families who seek a good base to do outdoors in a beautiful and natural setting. Our tour group consisted of 17 friends and we had a great time at Residence Maxime. The pool and jacuzzi were great and there is frequent use of it. Unfortunately there was the heavy rainfall the basement flooded with water. The owner has called the fire department and they came with 3 wagons and 10 men the basement pumping. Luckily it was completely resolved after 3 hours. Furthermore, the house looks really great, it is well maintained and very clean. This house is for both young and old a pleasure. Probably next year.

We stayed with our family of 20 people from 6 to 8 November at Villa Maxime and our stay was great! The weather was a bit disappointing, but young and old have very entertained in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and play rooms . The house is tastefully decorated, there is more than enough space for a large family. The kitchen was well equipped. The owners were very friendly and helpful. To conclude, we have very good food in restaurant du Barrage in Robertville. Both the house and the region are highly recommended! Hopefully we will come back, maybe in the summer!

A very nice, spacious, luxurious villa, with great comfort, well-maintained pool, kitchen with all necessary equipment, large living room, underfloor heating, large TV, beer tap, nice spacious rooms, large garden, ... Have made use of this property 24 to 31 July 2009. Very pleasant house, with necessary facilities. Each room own toilet, shower option. Small minus point is that we found little bbq devices were removed from the terrace what else would make for more enjoyable, also equipped with changing rooms by the pool would be practical. This residence is otherwise highly recommended and is well worth its stars. Very friendly owner who ever was available during our stay. Excellent, very nice and comfortable house. Has 7 bathrooms, what a luxury but very nice. This was the second time we were here and highly recommended. A very small downside to all big pluses is that we just do not appreciate that we only 16.00 at home can, because on Friday at 10.00 you out of the house. Then came on Friday at 08.45 for two people to clean the house. This we found uncomfortable. The cleaners should begin as early as the next holiday goers s "afternoon at 16.00 again on the sidewalk. We have a SUPER weekend polite. Partly through the feet of snow that lay there and the fairytale setting. There was lots to do, including skiing and cross country skiing. The house was differ if the things that you need extremely cared a well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Good beds and everything neat and clean. We have a weekend with 14 friends entertained us well in this versatile holiday. The pool was ready and we have made great use of. The garden was still cluttered with the construction of the pool, but there was still plenty to play soccer and volleyball. We also got a good reception and the owners were all weekend helpful.We gladly come back once, when the tennis court and minigolf ready.

We have the days of May 2 to 9 spent in "Recidence maxim" with 6 adults and 9 kinderen.Het is a lovely house to live.
