Beautiful house with everything provided. Friendly owner. We enjoyed ourselves. Only small downside is that you have to drive very far for everything. In the area there is a lot to do and you are in Luxembourg in no time.

We are there in January. It took 3 days for the house to warm up. The Senseo was missing the part to make a Latte, when asked there was no response.

Everything perfect!! We were received very friendly and hospitable. You can park your car next door, so loading and unloading is very easy. The cottage is very cosily furnished, clean and fully equipped. Not unimportant: also a good WiFi connection!About a 15-minute drive away is a large Lidl, which is very convenient. In short: A beautiful area for walking and relaxing.

Gite very well equipped and very clean. friendly and helpful owner who lives next to the gite. The great charm of the cottage is the beautiful rustic style where you immediately get a holiday feeling. A plus is that the garden is completely closed with a high hedge. We had a very pleasant stay in a beautiful environment. For shopping and catering, Bastogne 7 km or Houfalize 5 km are the closest options.

It is a beautiful house in a beautiful area, but the house is located exactly at an intersection. The house is noisy both outside and inside. At 0600 am I wake up from the first cars. I think just a little too early. Everything is there and the reception was very friendly. I think the bed is less suitable for me, but my family is not bothered by it. the noise and the bed is a reason for me not to return here.A good night's sleep is important enough for me to report this.

Clean and cozy holiday home. Good price / quality. Located in a quiet street and beautiful area to explore. Less advisable for not deep sleepers because the tractors (month of April) leave very early for their field and because of the traffic hills just at the house, their loading bins make a lot of noise and also literally make the house shake. Of course the owners cannot do anything about this. Friendly people who make the stay very pleasant with small gifts and homely things to make it extra cozy. We had our dog with us. Dogs are not allowed upstairs, our dog is from our home, but not all dogs can be alone. We advise dog owners to bring 3 extra blankets to protect the new seats, the owner asked not to leave the dog in the seat but because he is allowed to do so with us, we could not unlearn him. Fortunately, we are always provided for that.

Very nice and cozy house with many excursion options in the area. Very friendly owners. The cottage is located right next to a road with small speed bumps that ensure that you certainly hear the tractors or vehicles with trailer very well, even early in the morning.

Beautiful And cozy house. You really feel in the Ardennes. Suitable for up to 4 people. Good base for excursions. Small supplies are missing in the kitchen such as scissors, decent stirring spoon. Pliers for meat to turn, ... Pans are also due for replacement. This house is definitely recommended! We had a good time.

GPS did not find the right location, but after telephone contact with owner so found. Nice location, but a lot of noise due to wrong-sills at the house. No shops in the about 3km. Also no description how you hit the small superette and where it is located. So 6km to Houffalize to do.

ok. was in the middle of the week but could arrive early everything was by phone on arrival, owners at work but everything was ready + surprise, no problem for me. Located in typical Ardennes village and beautiful surroundings. Good for small family and couples with pet.

A special place (former bakery, with baker's oven), in the middle of the village of Rachamps, opposite the church and the old washing place. Our dog also felt at home there. The owners are cordial people.Rachamps is a nice base for walks and hikes, such as to the Abbey of Orval and to the megaliths of Wéris. We especially enjoyed the valleys of the Ourthe and its tributaries, full of beavers. And from the autumn colors golden yellow of beech and larch.

Beautiful, sober but very atmospheric and clean cottage that used to serve as the breadcake oven of the village. Ideal for 4 people and well equipped with necessary kitchen facilities. Centrally located for walks near Bastogne or Achouffe. The walk of the Festival of Achouffe is a must if you like to see beaver castles and photograph fly birds and end up with a nice beer. Our motto to find out was Eat, Sleep, Read, Repeat and it's perfect for that. Pleasant reception by owners who live next door.

As always, great reception at a super nice location, had lovely weather and invited by the owners to come and have a drink on sunday, super cozy. Great setting for hiking.

The gîte, which dates back to the 19th century, gives a very definite impression, despite being in the middle of the village next to the owners' house. Due to the location with the blind walls to the street and the shielded small garden (well located on the sun) the outside world remains. It is a small village with excellent walking opportunities in the immediate area. The furnishings of the gite are good and fitting in style. We were lucky enough to have a good weather but in the case of bad weather, the small number of channels on the cable may be a minpost.

Good arrival, had prior contact with owner about arrival time. Upon arrival we got an explanation about the house and there was a nice bottle of beer waiting for us. Located in a quiet area for running and walking (also with dog).

Very well maintained gîte and garden, and also very warm and friendly owners. Double bed we were narrower than we were. Fence port in front is low, but no problem for our dogs. Very positively the garden is delimited with a hedge, and in the middle there is also a wire fence which makes sure that the dogs can not survive. Unfortunately, the bakery is only open during the weekend, and other groceries must be driven to the cities.

We had a fantastic time at Le Mairlou. The cottage was comfortable and had a good time. We made beautiful walks in the beautiful nature. The only downside was that we were far from the shops. We will stay here definitely be back.

We were really on vacation, and here have found our peace. The owners were always ready for us when necessary, further we were left alone. Even being on the edge of the road, because the garden on the right side is we were able to sit outside! Nice that there was a BBQ there!

It is a warm cozy house in a village. It has a small garden. Special was the fireplace. It is fully equipped in terms of decor. The owners are also very nice.

All of our expectations have been met. A warm interior where you feel really at ease and a beautiful area to enjoy! Worth repeating.

We stayed there between Christmas and New Year and found a cozy accommodation, both inside and outside was attractively decorated. For our two dogs, the small but fully enclosed garden ideal for everyday "needs". In the immediate vicinity of the cottage we found several rural roads and meadows accessible to walk with them and romp. The hillside setting seemed ideal to fietsen.We were also enthusiastic about the available kitchen utensils (clean and rich) .The pretty hard bed we found a minus.

Despite the comments of some here it is really quiet ... 2 tractors and 10 motor 's per day who come over, I call not real busy. Dogs that bark? Good location for walking, quiet and near all shopping (8km)

We were with z 'n fours and a toddler, cottage had even Ikea signs for the small. Had a lot of plans for the kitchen can carry everything. Cabinets are well stocked! For a relaxing weekend away and a visit to Luxembourg and near Bastogne, this is a very good base. The cottage is free and has ample space for 4 people. There is plenty to do, only in the winter it is more suited to relax and not do much, especially when it rains. Would definitely go again.

Lovely stay in a cute cottage with authentic touches like a stone oven, also used as a fireplace. Every comfort is present. Nice area for walking, especially the area around the Ourthe ensures very adventurous trips. You can leave from La Chouffe, Houffalize, Widrin, Legreux and much more. Each ending with a cozy Beer wa in a rural tribe ineke then you plop down at home and enjoy an aperitif at the fireplace. More should not be. Concluding mention that this cottage was impeccable, allowing us all was clear in the forward, in particular the concern around the gite.

We have three weeks enjoyed a wonderful holiday! Many beautiful walks from Houffalize, but also from our house is your equal in nature. Enclosed garden with terrace which was very nice for our dogs. Owner is very friendly and helpful when you need him. Cottage was very complete, almost everything is available from dishwasher to BBQ. Cottage is cozy and spacious and we felt right at home. Definitely worth repeating!

We have spent a week in this lovely traditional Tuscan home. The location is stunning with views over Lucca. We were warmly received. The house is spacious, the decor is traditional, somewhat busy, but everything is there. There's an old building, it is a bit dusty, so people with allergies can make it better not take it. At the end of the week, a traditional Tuscan meal was prepared for us, which was really excellent. I can recommend the house for people looking for a traditional Tuscan holiday.

Nice holiday houses in a small hamlet. Beautiful area. Fireplace was nice. We found the old TV at a disadvantage, even if only BBC1 Dutch-language television. Village has no facilities, no ATM. We were taking cash forget it but it was no problem for the deposit to pay the next day.

For us the second time in Le Mairlou a wonderful cottage for us and the dog. The fireplace is great. In Bastogne, you have wonderful restaurants, you are there in ten minutes. The area is perfect for walking, short certainly not the last time.

A nice little house with 2 bedrooms and all the trimmings. We were here with the dogs and there is a small courtyard so they can outside. Very pleasant inside with open fireplace where you can bake pizza. Does not give much heat, but cozy. In the neighborhood you can walk naturally beautiful and also seen some mountain bikers. We see them come back here!

Very well equipped cottage with a great pizza oven. We have eaten almost every day fresh pizza from the wood oven. Oven is really a plus for this property.

We are particularly pleased with our stay at this vakantiehuisje.Mooi clean, cozy, well-kept house with beautiful fireplace, bread oven, large fridge-freezer, oven, induction cooker, coffee machine, decent kitchen utensils, crockery and glassware. Even a bbq and gourmet set are present. Nice garden that can be closed. Of the "infamous" bell we did not bother. Lovely quiet area where you can walk tasty and a great base for trips by car. 10 km Bastogne and Houffalize 7 km. Big Colruyt supermarket on the left, just before you Bastogne binnenrijdt.Het village and its surroundings have a friendly look through the many boxes on the facades of the houses. Attractions include La Roche en Ardenne, the caves of Hotton, Animalaine. The owners speak french (logisch!) but with some hands and feet come a long way. They are very friendly and helpful.

The cottage is very comfortably furnished (for a cottage) above average taste ... we have to equipment found everything we needed. Rachamps the village is small but very nice and pretty quiet. The area was beautiful and our accommodation very comfortable. Flew two weeks and we went with pain in our hearts back home. We will definitely come back.

It was a very full house. Clear, clean and exactly what we needed. The dogs had their own space and the garden was closed so they could go out safely. For now we have a nice walk in the vicinity, because we had never been in this area. We thoroughly enjoyed Le Mairlou. Very pleasant and cozy stay with lots of attention and care is furnished. Everything is there. Big surprise for us was the "gourmet set"! Twice we feasted of the Ardennes meat specialties. And then nice to reminisce the haardvuur.We with the kids and the dogs beautiful and adventurous hikes in the "Müllerthal". Overall, a good place for a week getaway to go!

We had a few days in this house, two adults and two children. The house is not very big but very nice. We felt very at home. The cottage was very clean. There is little natural light in some places, but there were several lamps and lights. The furniture was very neat. The bathroom is small but very well kept. There is also a kettle in the house. The pots and pans are well represented. There is a Senseo coffee maker. What a pity is that the stores are not close. Just bread for breakfast costs a lot of time. We have made many trips to area attractions. Many within half an hour to 1 hour drive away. Day in Luxembourg, Remouchamps caves, swim in the river l 'Ourthe at Maboge, Houffalize and Roche are very nice towns. We have greatly entertained. Among the church bells every day at 07.30 we had little trouble. The owners are extremely nice lazy and very helpful (if you have a word speak French). buns and pastries you on Sunday morning in Rachamps themselves pick up the bakery in the garage of the "white house". A very nice small cozy cottage in the middle of a farming village near Bastogne (9km). A spacious kitchen with all the trimmings and a nice little living room with a fireplace and bread oven functions. There is central heating throughout the cottage well warming. An enclosed garden with private driveway where pets can easily come loose. Two bedrooms that are spacious enough to sleep and stuff to store! Disadvantage only thing we have discovered is that every morning during the week at 7:30 the church bells ringing. (Probably for the school) The owners are very friendly and speak only French and broken English, it is very quiet in the village and in the immediate vicinity little to do. Well there are good and beautiful hiking and cycling trails. Bastogne is a city full of WWII history, there are also many eateries! There are some shops and boutiques, nice to spend an afternoon! Altogether we have a quiet week walked around with our dogs. A must for the rest!
