Description

THE UNIQUE STORY, AS TOLD BY THE HOMEOWNER

The owner is an atypical person in her personality, her tastes and her vision of the world. This is reflected in the choice of properties. She is a person fascinated by going back to basics and nature as well as well-being.

Taking advantage of her large garden, she started almost 20 years ago by setting up a cottage near her house. Afterwards, she was able to buy her first caravan (and six more since), which she also put on her land, but this time on the opposite side of her house, towards the stream below. Following a meeting with a Mongolian couple working in import-export, she had the opportunity to buy an authentic Mongolian yurt and some of the furniture inside. Naturally, she set up this new “light accommodation” on her land, and more precisely, between the chalet and the trailers. The space is large, so all the dwellings are on the same plot without being on top of each other. Also, the fact that the yurt is located on the owner's land provides a very safe environment for the tenants, while remaining a very private, unoverlooked place, thanks to the many trees on the plot.

The owner has not installed Wi-Fi in the yurt to allow the tenants to recharge their batteries without giving in to the temptation of connectivity, so she has made books and board games available for the days when the tenants are unfortunately unable to enjoy the outdoors due to the weather.

The homeowner really wants to share and to show her tenants another way of life. She really likes the idea of being able to offer them a moment "out of time", back to their roots.

Those who love simplicity, something unique ... then this residence is a wonderful experience. The kids come by every day, sleeping in Yurt is fantastic. Campfire in the evening, BBQ ... hammocks, sun loungers ... everything is there. In the middle of nature, away from the daily grind... blissful.

Very nice experience in the yourth; also for the kids! Beautiful area with lots of walking, but also other options. The barefoot path is highly recommended! The accompanying chalet is comfortable and equipped with all kitchen utensils. Also a spacious bathroom with shower. Outside there are many possibilities, garden in a green environment, bbq and pizza oven. The trampoline could really charm our children and the many animals were a plus. Very friendly reception. The hostess and her daughter also took the time several times to take us with them to the goats and the pig, the rabbits and the sheep. We were allowed to help feed them and were given a lot of explanation. A unique experience in a calm and relaxed atmosphere!

I'm not a negative person, really. I'm used to sleeping in tiny hikers' tents or in the haylofts of mountain huts. But what is the price (excluding the material) also for. A tad overrated here, that price I do not understand that this is acceptable for Belvilla. That they have this in their offerRomantic, yes if you like to smell it. I have known and used ecological toilets, but something (natural) was done there against the smell. Here it is laziness and not being able to bring a drain pipe to the hut. The garden chairs rusted, the windows of the hut smashed with white lime, the smell of gagging. The yurt itself was checked for dead rodents under the tarp, which, according to the owners, could be the reason for the smell in the yurt. Poor material for eating and cooking in the slides. View of a barn of a stable. The play tower with slide could collapse at any moment. In short: certainly not worthy of Belvilla. Very unfortunate because I had a lot of faith in it. We left after half an hour with an angry owner who thought we had wasted her time. (Also punishment) We should have followed that one review from the people below. She thought it was our responsibility. So not hers to do anything about it. I would have liked to see a refund, which is allowed in the form of a voucher, but I first have to get hold of the people from Belvilla and that is not easy either.

despite the fresh weather in May, we enjoyed our colorful long weekend

We were very well received and received clear explanations. The area is quiet and it was fantastic to be welcomed by the kids. The yurt and the cottage are very nice and cozy. You have to add a dust web here and there, but otherwise everything was fine.

We had a wonderful holiday. The cottage is luxury camping so to speak. No luxury but tastefully decorated, especially the yurt! and nice outside. However, there are busy roads so quite a lot of traffic noise. In addition, the people who rent out the house are working every day with tractors, pick-up, shovel, crane, chainsaw and there is absolutely no question of real peace. A small playground for the children, a fire pit and a barbecue. The compost toilet didn't seem so bad to us but it was disappointing. This is partly due to the construction because the thing is not easy to clean and keep but also because the house is fairly sultry, there is also a constant odor. The extra costs for electricity, water and cleaning are very high. And our daughter found while playing in the yurt bags with rat pellets (poison) luckily she first came to ask what it was ..... not really jolly. The lady who rents the house is very friendly by the way. We had a very successful holiday, very beautiful surroundings and nice towns such as La Roche in the neighborhood. Beautiful walks in the area. We will definitely go back but in a different house.

the arrival was super good, and the environment was good

August 2018

Lovely quiet area, lots of animals such as goats, sheep, rabbits and deer.Een recommended to get away from it all. House stands in the middle of the forest, no large holiday park in a beautiful environment surrounded by pine trees.

August 2018

July 2017

Yurt very bad to find. Called 6x to the number on the reservation and was not picked up. By the home front found after 2 hours. Reception was hurry !!! Yurt smelled terrible and could not escape because the roof could not be opened anymore. (Kapot). Tried with cane smoke to get the stench out but was not done. What do you need to get used to? I think. After each puddle or poop you should throw a sawdust. Folding down bucket, but not taken away. After 4 nights left. Stank was no longer cure in the yurt and caught our bishops and went to a hotel. Wrong choice was told after explanation of the stench. Never again for us !!!!

We are warmly and hospitable. In the yurt and the house the lights were already burning. The accommodation is really beautiful. And also special. We were with 2 adults and 2 girls of 13. It was thus negotiating the yurt ... the girls won .... The yurt is really beautiful. Both in the yurt and the cottage everything is very harmonious and colorful ... with light and beautiful things everywhere. Lovely place to be. On all sides you can go on an adventure, Houffalize a few kilometers away with lots of possibilities .. Enjoyable walks or trips, mountain biking ... also La Roche is nearby, or Lachouffe .. Just a great place in one word.

July 2015

excellent holiday even though the weather is still a successful stay

July 2015

The Yurt was really beautiful. minuses are called the stench that exists, which you can get out by opening the roof, but to get it close is not easy. And the dry toilet in the outhouse was quite accustomed.

July 2015

here one can really unwind

June 2015

What made it attractive for us, the yurt was nice to sleep in! Directly under coniferous and deciduous trees and surrounded by many birds, a simple but unique experience. We could appreciate that the owner is environmentally aware waste and ecotoilet. We took for granted that besides kitchenware also oil, spices and pepper / salt altogether. This should you bring your own. A very friendly owner who speak French, speak a little English.

June 2015

The yurt and the chalet were fine. Flaw is that it is too close to the road and therefore you can hear the passing traffic all day and night. Especially when you sleep you can hear it very clearly in the yurt.

May 2015

My daughter of 11 wanted to camp in a tent and I wanted like some comfort. This yurt + adjoining kitchen / bathroom was perfect to imagine ourselves King + princess. Photo 's on the website give a perfect picture of how cozy it is. Kitchen is fully equipped, and even pads for the Senseo. Heating by electric heaters also meet on a rainy spring day. Reception welcoming and informative. View lambs, deer and potbellied pig, ideal for children so we are second guest of the yurt so enthusiastic and are confident that after a number of enthusiastic reviews will follow the postings quickly ... Some tips for visiting nearby -. "Au grand café 'in Mont (within walking distance) open on Fri Sat evening cozy small café with ao home-brewed "InterPol" beer (info www.la-vieilleforge.be) - La Truite d' Argent in Tavigny restaurant with stunning views and ideal starting point for wonderful walks (info www.la-truite.com)
