Holiday Home Gut Heistert

Gut Heistert is to be highly recommended. It is a very removed location, with great bedrooms, 2 cozy and useful common rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a sauna. The host is very explaining, and takes a tour with you once you arrive to explain how everything works. They are also very friendly and nice. We would love to return here.

Fantastic cozy and beautiful house, thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. In addition, a super nice owner with whom everything was easy to discuss. We will definitely come back!!

The surroundings are great, but the house clearly needs an update. Most of the bed slept poorly and there is no decent couch to sit on. All and all, this house is way too expensive for what it offers.

Just returned from a great week at Gut Heistert in Kalterherberg (Monschau)! Very nice and extremely quiet holiday home. Second time we come there, and it is always top notch: very clean, very complete and practical kitchen, neat rooms,......... Our week for next year has already been booked again!!

We spent a wonderful long weekend in Kalterherberg with our family, 17 adults and 6 children aged 7 months and 8 years. This was our second time in the super spacious, clean house with a beautiful plot of land and direct access to the hiking trails. The house offers plenty of opportunities for activity and fun in both good and bad weather. The kitchen is ideal for self-catering and all rooms have a bathroom. We can highly recommend it and will definitely be back. Unfortunately it is already fully booked by the time we wanted to come back next year.

We go on holiday every year during the week of New Year with a large group of friends and children. This is one of the best accommodations we have had so far. The house is spacious, clean and well maintained. All bedrooms have their own bathroom, the kitchen is big enough, there is a separate breakfast room and the bar area is very cozy. The location is fantastic, from the house you walk directly into the woods and in the area you can walk. The owners are exactly, but hospitable and friendly. We would like to come back again.

Fine accommodation for large groups.

The house at the end of the village is beautifully situated in the green. Everything is very neat. The owners are friendly and very correct, they want everything in order. Crazy that a weekend stay here but runs until Sunday morning 10 am. You can stay on request until 5 pm, if you pay 9 euros per hour.

What a great house in a wonderful place. We were there with the whole family and everyone had the space to do things together, but also to retreat. Great rooms, great facilities. In short, we hope to come back again!

Reception was good, with a tour of the house. We were with friends, 18 people total. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. What a top location! Owner is very friendly. Outside is a bbq and you can enjoy a fire pit in the evening. Inside the Stube there is a fireplace where you can drink a drink. There is a sauna for relaxing. Facilities are good. The property is self-contained, so you have to drive 10 minutes to do groceries. The surroundings are beautiful. There are beautiful routes to drive by car or motorway. There are several routes that can be driven (eg the thousand curve route or eg the route of sight) monschau itself is a great place to walk or have a drink. It is very picturesque and the buildings are exactly what you would expect from an old German village. We are going next year definitely with our group back!

We were in this house with 1 big family with many little children. It is a very beautiful house in a very quiet location with a spacious enclosed garden where the children can play deliciously. For our family very suitable !. We were welcomed. All rooms have shown the owners. We were well explained how the equipment worked. There is a large BBQ available. In the surrounding area you can enjoy walking and cycling and rail bikes, Monschau is a beautiful city. We look back on a very nice holiday week at a great location.

For the second year in a row, had a wonderful holiday with friends and 13 children in Gut Heistert. It's just as good and clean as last year and in the meanwhile there has been a covered terrace and a trampoline, fun to see that they continue to invest and both are used frequently! The big asset remains the kitchen, big and really catered for large groups. My point this year was the owner who was shaving the hay for two days, of course, but the noise was disturbing. We are very friendly welcome in Gut Heistert. We were a little early but everything was ready and we were allowed in our home. Mrs. Jones has everything to do with our very good overflow. It was super clean !!! The beds were made, everything was ready to use immediately. We celebrated here with the family our pearl wedding anniversary and this was the perfect location!
