This Eifel region is famous for its volcanic lakes. With its various lakes and dense forests, it is wonderful for endless hiking. In the middle of this natural beauty, you will find a bistro, where this chalet is located. The Chalet has a nice covered terrace. From the front door, you can walk straight into the nature. You can have a delicious breakfast or dinner at the bistro at local rates. There is also a cozy beer garden. Dogs are welcome. Ideal combination of relaxation and entertainment
Meisburg is a quiet, small Eifel village. The bistro where you will be staying is the place for entertainment, and there are also a few houses, a church, and a sports/playing field. The surroundings are characterized by dense forests where you can spot birds of prey, boar, and deer. Walkers have many beautiful routes to choose from.
Just under 15 km away is the Nerother Kopf, on top of which (about 640 m) you will find a castle ruin and a cave. The cave was created because volcanic rock was cut away to make millstones. Quite a climb but well worth it.
The volcanic lakes this part of the Eifel is famous for are also nearby. For example, visit the Meerfeldermaar. Here, you can see its geological history and swim when the weather is good. Afterward, you can head toward Manderscheid to explore its two castles. Once a year, medieval festivals are organized here.
Another well-known place in this region is Daun. Here, you can find several shops and restaurants. There is also a very nice animal park. Outside the village is a summer tobogganing run (only in summer).
In short, you love peace and nature and want an affordable holiday and good food. Then come to Meisburg
