Villa with swimming pool in the Achterhoek
Lichtenvoorde, Guelders, Netherlands
This luxurious, detached villa is located in the green holiday park Résidence Lichtenvoorde, in the pleasant area of the Achterhoek, at approx. 4.5 km from the historic village of Lichtenvoorde, 25 km east of the city of Doetinchem.
The villa covers two floors and is furnished in a modern, comfortable and complete way. On the ground floor, there is a living room with smart TV and a nice atmospheric fireplace. There is an open plan kitchen featuring a dishwasher and a microwave. A double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet in the hall complete the ground floor. On the first floor, you will find another five double bedrooms and a two bathrooms with shower. You have a separate toilet on the landing. All beds are of the single type. box-spring bed, whether or not in a 2-pers. setup. The villa has underfloor heating.
The true showpieces of this villa are outside. Here, you will find private wellness facilities: a sauna, a spa and an outdoor shower. Next to that, there is an private outdoor pool. What more could you wish for? Of course, you also have a nice garden with terrace and garden furniture at your disposal. There's parking space for two cars directly at the villa.
At holiday park Résidence Lichtenvoorde, various chalets and villas can be booked for four to fourteen people.

We were in a spacious villa in a beautiful, new park. Surrounded by traditional Dutch countryside where you can enjoy a walk. We also enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and swimming pool. There is an excellent restaurant. Unfortunately we left with a bad aftertaste because we had to put the whole house aside before 10:00 on the last day. If you do not do this or if you do not do this completely, you will lose your deposit of 1000 euros (partly). These are often things that you can only do on the day of departure itself. Then you have to hurry in such a big house and that makes your last moment in the accommodation not pleasant. The reception was not really open to feedback when I indicated this and mainly explained why they continue to do it their way. Here we found no flexibility.
We had a nice weekend away with the family. However, we ran into a number of things and unfortunately nothing was done about it. To start with, park is very nice and quite new. The cottage was beautiful and we all had enough space. However, the house was not clean .. there was still a rental bbq on the ground with pieces of meat on it. There was also food in the freezer and sauce in the fridge. There were clouds of dust under the beds as if they hadn't vacuumed in weeks. We have 2 children so there was still something to fall under. When you picked this up, it was all covered in dust. You pay 485,- !!! just for cleaning costs! What we actually find absurd, then you understand that our expectations in terms of hygiene will be very high. Not even 1 roll of toilet paper is left behind for that amount. Windows are very dirty, there were still drips of urine on the toilet on the ground floor and in the sauna there was also a pile of dust and a popsicle stick. And then check that they can rent out this house several times a week (midweek, weekend) so ask 2x 485 for cleaning costs! Really unbelievable. We had also booked a cottage with sun shower and hot tub. This was not in our house. Just called and all that was said. Oh that's the house next to you, we will contact bellvilla that they have to adjust this .. so? And we? We pay for the facilities that are listed with our bookings.. but no they do not come with a solution. It was also said about the bbq that was with us until the day we left, that that would not be possible .. well it is really there. We also took pictures of it. A few days before the start we were called if we wanted a jacuzzi, otherwise it would be there but not be filled. 120,-. Well, that's fine because you don't want to look at such an empty thing. There were also air conditioners and the water was collected by jerry cans. Also for this we had to pay 5,- p
